Spring Has Sprung

Spring Porch Decor | Antique Seed Cabinet

Hi Friends,

I sure notice on social how different everyones weather is this time of year.

In the south we’re experiencing spring/summer weather…last week we were in the 80’s.

It’s a pretty time of year.

My days are filled with sowing seeds, planting tubers, and pulling weeds.

The barn porch I use as a photography studio is the first area I decorate for spring.

Trailing petunias are a favorite paired with something I’ve found at a flea market.

If you’e hunting at flea markets for containers for your garden…don’t pass up the ones with holes in the bottom…you need drainage and those rusty buckets with holes often come with a discounted price.

Spring Has Sprung On The Barn Porch

Watering cans come in all sizes and shapes.

I like placing them around the porch, but you could also plant in them.

I don’t directly plant in any of my containers…it makes it easier for me to move things around.

Wash tubs are a favorite and I don’t hesitate to buy the bottom without the buckets.

This chippy white one was only the stand and then I found a couple of buckets that fit.

The flowers are in separate containers…this way I can pull them out if I want to move the washtub for a photo.

Once you put soil in any container it gets awfully heavy!

Old-timey benches add character to a space and they’re my go to for photos.

My antique urns were an amazing find from a store that was closing it’s doors.

If you need buckets for your spring decorating, head out to a local flea market and find something unique.

These sap buckets are something I use all around and again I just sit the pot inside of the bucket.

It makes it easy to water and move around if needed.

Mother Nature is so good for the soul and spring definitely puts a little zip into my step.

Falling in love with flowers all over again as everything starts to bloom.

Garden friends share your favorite flowers, vessels, and what you will be planting.

I love gathering ideas and trying something new.

Thank you for visiting The Blog!

Kindly, xo

Jane
