Reflexed Tulips | Pink Tulips in an Antique French Pitcher

Reflexing Tulips For Your iPhone Wallpaper

Last week I was talking about tulips and what kind to plant in the fall.

I had picked some beautiful ones up at the Farmers Market.

And they had me thinking all things tulips!

These beauties had large blooms and when I showed my mom she said I should try reflexing them.

Reflexing is when you gently move each flower petal backward.

Simply feel the back of the petal and kinda pop it backward.

Smoothing out each one as you go.

With these particular tulips, they never felt like the petal was going to break.

You could also spray them with Crowning Glory before you starting reflexing them and after.

This is a step I didn’t take…my tulips were starting to fade anyways…the perfect time to experiment!

I couldn’t get over how different they looked.

Perfect for styling, but I don’t know if they would last as long.

I had already styled these tulips, so I didn’t mind playing around with them.

If you would like to use one of the photos for your wallpaper (I’m using the first photo) simply save it to your photos.

(personal use only)

Then open settings on your phone and scroll down to find wallpaper.

Hit choose a new wallpaper and the photo you saved should appear in your camera roll.

I just move the photo around to place it the way I like it on my phone.

Kindly, xo

  • Those “reflexed” tulips are beautiful. They took on the look of a poppy! The first time I saw that done is when I worked for a florist friend. She’d go through a completed arrangement of flowers and open some of the roses. I was amazed that the petals didn’t just fall off right there!
