It was Time!

Hello friends,

Many of you have been following my small business from the beginning…thank you!

The days of buying and selling antiques at shows was so much fun.

My husband and I were reminiscing the other night and we both agreed that we had a “blast.”

I started Grit Antiques offline and then slowly found my way onto the online world of blogging, online shop, and social media.

Picking up a camera for the first time to photograph blog posts.

It was during this time that I started to enjoy styling and taking the photos more than the DIYs!

Over the years my camera became a creative outlet for me and I have been honored to have features in magazines like Country Living.

During this time I also started my print collection and was enjoying the art of still photography when I was asked to photograph a couple.

I said no and it came up again and again.

It was late summer when I decided to get out of my own way and listen.

By late fall I was doing styled portrait sessions and enjoying meeting everyone.

I write all of this to tell you that I have renamed my website to Jayne Margaret Photography.

It makes more sense and less confusing to new followers.

I love the community and hope to share photography tips and the personal side of running my business.

You’ll also still find me at flea markets looking for photography props and treasures for our home.

As always thank you for your kindness and I hope you pivot when you need too!

Kindly, xo

Jane

p.s.  you can also find me on social as Jayne Margaret Photography

  • Seriously! Is there anything you can’t do!?
Thanks for the closer look at June. I just love how you styled her! I also love that you got out of your own way, and took the leap to photograph couples. Anyone would be lucky to have you as their photographer Jane. xo
