Simple Business Research Tips

Small Business Ramblings

Have you ever researched and researched an idea…to only end up tossing in the towel?

It was Sunday and I was in research mode.

I have an idea for Grit so I was spending my day looking into all the details.

At one point I stopped…remembering a time years ago.

Just before I opened my first antique booth!

I’m pretty sure I had read everything anyone had ever written.

I didn’t know anyone in the industry at the time and if I had listened to half the information out there I would have never started!

So I sat down to write to all of you instead of filling my head with all the things!

I know a lot of you are small business owners chasing your dreams.

We are kindred spirits in many ways.

What I want you to know from my experience is that we must do the things we feel called to do.

Spend time learning and asking questions, but pay careful attention to information overload.

A new adventure, idea, or business can feel overwhelming.

It’s too much to take in!

I remember with my antique booth and then photography.

Both felt overwhelming at the start and a little risky.

Simplify the process and take each step one by one.

Do your research, but don’t get stuck in it!

Have the courage to see the hard things through!

“You can choose

courage or you can

choose comfort.

You cannot have both.”

      ~Brené Brown

A beautiful reminder to have courage!

Kindly, xo
