Barn Studio

Barn Photography Studio

I remember this morning well.

It was a misty morning with the sun coming up over the farm.

August is always hot and humid in the south.

My hubby had suggested we renovate the inside of the barn.

Making it my barn studio.

A place to be creative with my photography and a place to gather with kindred spirits.

It had always been home to all my antiques and I no longer needed this kind of space.

It was one of the rare times that I immediately agreed.

We set a date of April 20th, 2019 to reveal the inside of the barn.

And we got moving!

Sharing with all of you on my Instagram Stories.

My hopes and dreams for our barn.

But, sometimes life has another plan!

Many of you know that two weeks ago the table saw bit my hubbies hand.

The outpouring of kindness and even our best friends from Canada offering to fly down to get the barn completed.

Amazing…yet…I told my hubby the date did not matter.

It mattered to him because he knew that I picked that date for a reason.

It will be one year ago on that day that my Dad passed away.

I wanted to share all of this with all of you because we want to say thank you!

We feel grateful and blessed for many reasons.

One being that he will get the use of his hand back in a few months.

We have stayed busy doing what we can…me & lefty!

And

Once we get going again I will set another date.

You may wonder why I would do this.

Well, it makes things happen!

Intention is a powerful tool

Kindly, xo

Jane

  • I believe that God has us where we are for a reason. We may never know why but I just know in my heart it is in his perfect plan. Sending you big hugs and lots of love. It is never easy wading through all the firsts after losing someone you love.
