Living An Inspired Life

I heard a quote recently

“my true self leads me to an inspired life”

                                                                                                 ~Deepak Chopra

As a creative I know that this is true…it’s just hard to believe in one’s self long enough!

We need to find a sense of calm in a noisy world.

I know many of you are creatives…the makers!

You create out of love and have the courage to put it out into the world.

Being a creative is not for the faint of heart!

It takes courage and faith in one’s self to go the distance.

Sticking with your true calling and not allowing the opinions of others to influence your work.

I know this to be true…as following my heart as led to many amazing opportunities.

If I had allowed social media and the outside world to tell me if I was ready or good enough I would not have had the blessings of being published several times last year.  A surreal moment and one I can only contribute to allowing myself to be me.

And even then.

I had someone I know tell me how I could make my photos better…not congratulations!

My point is that I want you to believe in yourself.

It is easy for people to give us instant feedback nowadays and sometimes that feedback can be hurtful.

 I encourage you to find “your people” for the days that you need a reminder to keep going.
