Welcome sweet friends to my rustic barn.
If you’ve been hanging around with me for a while, you’ll know that my husband built our barn.
It’s a source of inspiration for me and where I do some of my creating.
I tend to split my time between my studio inside our home and the barn.
Decorating the barn porch is fun.
I pull from my stash of flea market finds and buy a few flowers.
This year I started my summer series for Instagram with our favorite spot to sit.
This is the side of our barn and we always sit here at night and watch the cows graze.
These antique barn doors are a favorite and if we ever move…they’re moving with us!
There is something about decorating with stuff I find at flea markets.
For so long I bought and sold and even though I set up displays I never paused long enough to enjoy my pieces like I do now.
I don’t over think my photo styling.
Just like country living…I like the feel of something that is causal.
Mixing up what I have.
Here I have my possum belly styled two ways.
I like to create a series with some of my photos so I play around with my vintage props.
I’m also always on the hunt for old advertising.
This old cardboard Dutch Treat Ice Cream was just a couple of dollars.
It’s these little pieces that are unique and add interest to a photo.
