Flower Garden Community | Spring Through Fall
A few weeks ago, I wrote to you about the daffodils, how they return without asking permission, how they remind us that something is always happening beneath the soil.
Since then, I’ve been thinking about why I garden.
Not the practical reasons.
Not the pretty reasons.
But the deeper reason.
The flower garden has never been a hobby to me. It is not something I visit once in a while when I have extra time. It is a commitment. A rhythm that shapes my days from early spring through the first frost.
Perhaps one day we will sell flowers, but for now, we are simply nurturing them and growing with them.
We have so many varieties of flowers and over 500 peonies. We may sell peonies one day, but for now we are allowing them to grow and mature. When peonies are grown for sale, they are usually picked before they bloom. By allowing them to mature we can experience their beauty.

The Flower Garden Gives Back In Ways That Are Difficult To Measure
It quiets the noise.
It brings us outside when we would otherwise stay in and reminds us that growth takes time.
My husband and I often stand in the middle of the flower garden, surrounded by birds singing, bees, and butterflies, and look at each other in disbelief that this is ours to tend. We know there is something about putting your hands in the dirt that settles your soul.
And that is what this season is about for me.
Getting my hands in the dirt and taking the time to photograph the beautiful blooms even when there is so much to do in the garden.
And that brings me to this invitation to join me

An Invitation for Spring
In March just before the first day of spring, The Flower House Garden Community will meet on Zoom.
From spring until the first day of fall, we will meet once a month on Zoom for about an hour. Not for endless information. There is no shortage of information in the world. You can ask AI anything.
This will be about something different.
It will be about coming together and sharing real stories.
I will share what is happening in my garden, what is blooming, what is struggling, what I am learning. You can ask questions. You can share what you are growing. Whether you grow armfuls of flowers or just a small cutting garden beside your house, you belong.
This space is for those who feel that gardening is more than a pastime.
It is about holding space for each other’s creative lives and tending not only flowers, but the quiet dreams we carry.

Keeping It Simple
The investment for the Flower Garden Community is $69.99.
If you joined me last year for The Art of Slow Storytelling, you will automatically be welcomed into this community as a thank you for walking with me while I was learning and shaping what felt true.
All members will receive my ebook, The Art of Slow Storytelling, as part of this space, because the way we see and tell the story of our gardens matters just as much as what we grow.
If this speaks to you, I would love for you to join us.
You can learn more and join us here.
Spring is almost here.
The garden is waking up.
And maybe we are, too. 🌿
kindly, xo
Jane
