The Flower House Styled for Fall
Every season I like to bring a little of the garden’s personality into the Flower House.
For fall, I filled baskets with coneflowers that can be planted out in the garden later this season. A few pumpkins, hay bales, and a cornstalk wreath that I found a couple of years ago at The Liberty Antiques Festival.
I was also happy to come across a few unique pumpkins this year. The yellow ones, called Mellow Yellow, were new to me and add such a soft pop of color alongside the orange ones.

Even though video is the trend on social media right now, you’ll still find me styling photos. There’s a quietness to capturing the seasons this way. A pause that reminds me of why I first fell in love with photography. For me, it was always about the styling and storytelling.

Back when I sold antiques, it was always the show displays that I looked forward to creating. Photography has given me another outlet for that same creative spark, especially when I can bring in the antiques and vintage finds I’ve collected from flea markets.

I love keeping things simple and reusing what I already have. This series of photos is just that: fall in the Flower House garden, styled simply with what makes me happy.

That’s really the heart of my approach. Slowing down, noticing details, and letting a story unfold in its own way. It’s the style I share in my eBook The Art of Slow Storytelling.
The same spirit behind these fall photos is what I share in my eBook. You can find it here.
Happy Fall
