Capturing Summer in My Flower Garden
Flower Garden
There’s something magical about the early morning light—it’s my favorite time to capture the flower garden’s beauty.
I’m usually out there at sunrise, watering, deadheading, and pulling weeds.
It’s in those quiet moments that inspiration strikes, and I often find myself in a race to style and photograph the scene before the sun gets too bright.

The antique French shutter doors are one of my favorite parts of the flower house.
Believe it or not, the entire Flower House was designed around the antique French shutter doors.
When they arrived, we initially thought they would be too high but we couldn’t resist their charm.
Instead of looking for other doors, my husband made them work!
The flower house makes the flower garden feel like a cottage garden.

I’ve always had a soft spot for vintage baskets.
I’ve collected more than my fair share and am always ready to use them in my photos.

The worn baskets, full of hydrangeas, and my old antique bike, which has been a part of my collection for years, bring a rustic charm to the garden.

Here’s another vintage basket from my collection.
I love the shape of this one.

The sunlight was almost too intense for this photoshoot, but I’m happy I didn’t let it stop me.
It created a bright, summery mood that captured the season.
The photos feel warm and inviting, just like summer mornings in the flower garden.
It’s a reflection of why I love spending time here.
