Hi, friends
I hope you’re enjoying the magic of summer.
One of the things I love about summer besides flowers is the lightning bugs.
I didn’t grow up with them but I experienced them as a kid when I would visit my grandparents in Cincinnati.
I never forgot their magic and I was happy to see them again when I moved to the south.
Even with our heat and humidity I still enjoy the magic of summer.
It brings back so many wonderful childhood memories.
One of them is the feeling of grass under my feet…I was always on my bare feet as a kid.
This particular morning I wanted to capture the antique clock and zinnias.
As a flower photographer and dreamer, I always look to tell a story.
One that evokes a feeling in you and a sense of calm.
Life has a way of keeping us busy…especially nowadays.
What if we stopped celebrating being busy as a measurement of importance?
What if instead, we celebrated how much time we had spent listening, pondering, meditating, and enjoying time with the most important people in our lives.

When I read this I thought of my flowers and how I get lost in the garden.
It’s therapeutic and I feel lucky I get to share the beauty of the blooms with you.
Cultivating beauty with flowers and photography is what brings me joy.
I was still using the pretty peonies for my wallpaper but decided to change it to the rocking chair and flowers for this month’s wallpaper.
