Flat Lay Pink Peonies | Creating Collections in Lightroom

Lightroom Collection Sets & Collections

Hi friends, today I’m sharing how I create collections in Lightroom.

As beginners, we want to learn to edit our photos and often don’t spend the time to learn how to categorize all the photos we’re taking.

This is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to organizing your photos in Lightroom, but hopefully, it will get you thinking and starting.

As I mentioned in the video…do you!

Organize in a way that makes sense to you and what you’re creating.

I sort and organize in a way that works for my shop and how I can find photos quickly if a magazine asks for one or I want to reuse a photo for the blog or social media.

Lightroom Collections make it easy.

In this video, we look at How to Create Collections in Lightroom.

Focusing on two of them…creating a Lightroom Collection Set(JM Shop) and a Collection(Paris Notecards).

Once created you can select a photo and drag and drop it into your collection.

Start simple and build on your organization as you grow and learn more about Lightroom.

Kindly, xo

Jane

p.s.  I’m excited to share a shop update soon with new listings💗

  • Jane – I really love your photography, it’s so peaceful. Good to know I’m not the only one who organizes their photos. You have a great way of explaining things. Looking forward to seeing more of your flowers this summer. Hugs- Carole

  • So much easier to start early on this versus go back and organize later. Great tip, love these videos!
