Antique Ladder & French basket with lavender | Lightroom Quick Tip for Beginners

Lightroom Creative Quick Tip

Hi friends, today I’m sharing another Lightroom Creative Quick Tip.

These Lightroom Tips are for Beginners.

Learning the basics of Lightroom as a beginner before you jump into presets is a good idea.

This is a photo I took a few years ago and it was recently featured in “In Her Studio Magazine.

What an honor it was to share my story and to look back on a few photos.

Dried lavender is a favorite of mine for photo styling and I will be carrying it in my online Vintage Shop in the New Year.

So let’s get started, my friends!

As mentioned in the video this is something you can play with to see what auto will do to your photos.

For my creative style, I usually do this for the shadows and then tweak it to my liking…or leave it!

In the Develop Module in the Lightroom Basic Panel simply hit the

Shift Key – double-tap the Exposure, Highlights, Shadows, Whites, or Blacks slider to apply the Auto settings.

Keep in mind that depending on your editing style this may not work…use it as a guide as you learn.

In my case hitting the exposure will darken my photo…I like a light, bright, dreamy style so auto never gets exposure right for me.

However, depending on your editing style you may find that one or all of them is a good starting point for you.

“Your most important gear is

your eye, heart, and soul.”

          ~Marius Vieth

This quote sums up my thoughts…adding heart and soul to everything you style and create!

Kindly, xo

Jane
