How to Create a Virtual Copy in Lightroom and Why!
As a beginner, it is often our own eye that is not developed.
You see images floating around the web and social media that you love.
However, when it comes time to edit your own images you’re often left starring at the screen.
Pondering your choices with a sense of frustration.
But what if you simply started to compare your own edits?
If I showed you several photos together with subtle changes you would be able to pick out your favorite however, it’s harder to do when you look at them…one at a time.
In the video below I walk you through the steps to create a virtual copy of your photo.
These are the steps I take and just know that when it comes to lightroom there are several ways to get to the same place.
As a beginner that can feel confusing so I have shared how I create a virtual copy in Lightroom and Why.
As you compare your own photos you will start to develop your own editing style.
Quickly seeing within your own images what you like and why.
As you experiment with your edits I encourage you to play.
Move the sliders way over so you can get to know what they do and then compare your edits within the same image.
“Allow yourself to be a beginner.
No one starts off being excellent.”
