Have you ever considered taking creative self-portraits for your business?
Capturing your unique style in a photograph.
Whether you want to take self-portraits for your business or you want to add the human touch to your photos.
Either way, you can keep it simple and above all else…have fun with it!
The human touch adds warmth to a photo and evokes a feeling.
You’ll find several ways to take self-portraits.
From putting something in place of you, using a remote trigger or setting up the shot, and then asking someone to push the shutter release.
You’ll find many options, however, this is a simple way to capture who you are in a photograph.
A simple way of capturing a creative self-portrait
- Style your scene
- Adjust your camera settings & set your timer inside of the camera
- Put your camera on a tripod
- Put your focus on whatever is closest to the camera
Another tip…I usually don’t look at the camera.
The reason is that I can’t focus on my eyes.
Focusing on someone’s eyes in a portrait brings them to life.
Instead, look to evoke a feeling
I usually set my timer for 10seconds and 4-5 photos.
After I take the first set of photos I look at the back of my camera and make any adjustments to my camera settings.
If you don’t have a timer inside of your camera you can look at some of the other options like a remote trigger.
You may need photos for your website, social media, or an artful profile picture.
Just remember to keep it simple so you do it!
We all can feel insecure at times, however, don’t worry about makeup or anything out of the ordinary for you.
This is about the real person behind the brand…the one we can relate to!
Kindly, xo
