Fall Table Decor

Fall Tablescape On The Barn Porch

Fall Porch Decorating | Cornstalks, Hay bales

Let’s not head inside yet…fall is made for porch sittin’!

With our southern temperatures, we enjoy the barn porch year-round, and styling it never gets old.

Fall Table Decor | Apple Pie, pears, fall leaves

I had a magazine shoot in August and I wanted some fall leaves.

Still in the heat of summer with no fall leaves to be found.

I purchased this garland from Hearth & Hand with Magnolia at Target.

I tend to favor anything foraged because it’s hard to replicate the texture and imperfections that a real leaf or branch has to offer.

However, I was pleased with the garland.

Finding those kinds of pieces allow for photo shoots to take place a wee bit before nature decides it’s time.

Apple Pie

As I style a fall tablescape I think about a family gathering.

Keeping things simple yet warm and inviting.

During this time I was also styling a fall tablescape inside my barn.

Regardless of inside or outside I always add vintage, texture, and something from nature.

Vintage adds nostalgia and character to any styled shoot and is a dream to style and photograph.

Fall Tablescape | Apple Pie, mums, pears, leaves

Rich earth tones for warmth, pears, and a sweet apple pie.

Sprinkles of hay and hay bales for seats is something fun if you have a large porch or you’re doing an outside gathering.

I always pick up inexpensive antique cutter quilts at flea markets for styling.

They’re perfect for the hay bale seats.

I hope you enjoy styling with the warm colors of fall, adding in nature, and something vintage.

Kindly, xo

Jane

  • Loved your fall ideas and your beautiful fall photos!!! What a treat to receive your note early this morning as I enjoy my cup of coffee. Thank you, Jane, and happy fall!!
It’s fall in the Northwoods of Wisconsin with many leaves turning already. Our forests are mainly pine, balsam and hemlock but the sugar maples and oaks create a stunning contrast with red, orange and yellow. It’s so pretty.
    Have a lovely day!!

  • Those are wonderful tips for styling Jane. But one more, I have learned from following you my friend, is that sometimes less is more, and there is beauty in simplicity.
I hope you ate the pie 🙂
