Round Top Texas, Antique Week
Last week I talked about Flea Markets and y’all are ready!
So I thought I would share a little bit about the Round Top, Texas Antique Week(Weeks) experience!
Since it’s coming up.
We have been to Round Top the last two years and I love it.
Flying both times, however driving home one year.
I shared my experience in a blog post and my hubby shared why we drove home.
Yup he wrote his one and only blog post…so far!
One of the things I noticed when I posted to my Instagram stories is that a lot of people don’t realize that Round Top is just one area of the show.
If you’re making plans to attend the shows I highly recommend reaching out to me or someone you know.
If you’re making the trip you want to make sure to be able to attend all of the shows or at least most of them.
The shows are lined up along an old state road.
Gotta love driving country roads pulling in here and there.
It’s a magical time with the anticipation of what you may find
Antique dealers from all over the world and shoppers.
You just never know who you will see buying!
This little antique table was taken apart by my husband to fit in our suitcase and he carefully put her back together.
We travel with empty suitcases and I had plans if I would have found something large that I couldn’t live without.
One option is U-ship and another option is to find a dealer from your area.
They’ll most likely be making the trip back with an empty trailer.
Swing a deal that works for both of you to bring back your treasures.
You would also be surprised how much you can fly back with…if you plan!
We had everything to pack our pieces and I boarded the airplane with a backpack full of ironstone.
I’m a treasure hunter and these shows turn out some of the best curated items.
You will find the exceptional if that is what you’re looking for or you’ll find plenty to resell from the fields of Warrenton(get there at the beginning of the show).
I have listed a few of my favorite shows and believe me there are more.
La Bahia and Blue Hills
If you’re looking for tents & fields of good junk…Warrenton is your place.
Check it off your bucket list!
Kindly, xo
Jane
p.s. the main take away…don’t confuse the dates because all the shows are different
