As I get older I have learned to appreciate the beauty in every season. Each one presents its own unique blessing…a change in lifestyle that I yearn for. As each season comes to a close I now welcome the beauty of the next and what it means to me.
We’re slowly saying good-bye to summer in North Carolina with our first signs of fall.
Beauty surrounds us as we watch the leaves begin to change color and we feel the urge to do things a little differently. The milder temperatures evoke thoughts of sitting by the fire, and the possibility of a rainy day nestled under a blanket reading a book.

With that being said I have been trying to enjoy the last days of summer, but in all honesty, I am ready to enjoy the fall season. As the air starts to slowly change I have felt the pull to decorate.
When most of us think of decorating for the fall we look to our porch. The first thing that comes to mind is pumpkins of all sizes, gourds, haystacks, and the burnt orange color of mums.
With 90 plus temperatures in North Carolina and no pumpkins to be found I decided to add some crisp apples to a brass faced scale. The pop of color paired with the rustic scale is the beginning of displaying fall with a vintage twist.

Fresh apples are just one of the simple and inexpensive ways to add fall to your home.
Take a minute to take a deep breath of the cool autumn air. Stop amidst your daily walk and take in the incredible colors of the season. Gather up a handful of leaves, pine cones, or greenery and bring a little piece of the fall indoors.
Leave a comment below on your ideas for fall, enjoy your week 🙂
Kindly,
Jane
